The Kennedy Experience

The Kennedy Experience

The Kennedy Experience is a music group and eponymous album conceived and produced by violinist Nigel Kennedy. The album is largely derived from the music of rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix.

Every time I heard the same words: It’s like Jimi plays violin. And it’s what I said the first time I heard this album (thanks to my old friend Antonio). It’s not a complicate formula. Nigel Kennedy just plays violin as Jimi Hendrix plays guitar. So the results is a perfect mix of blues-rock and classical music played by artists with a classical background. Of course in comparison with the original songs everything appears cold.and probably it is, but is not an imperfection. Nigel Kennedy with his violin provide to put the energy as Hendrix use to do, but he got a  solid skeleton from the musician that  worked with him and the solutions they find are  from the classical music  more than from the blues-rock. One of the Jimi Hendrix‘ s dreams was to play with an orchestra. Probably Nigel Kennedy, with this album, partially made this dream come true.
